Growing Up Jewish
0$29.95‘Growing Up Jewish’ attempts to delineate and explain at least some of these obscure inner forces. The book begins, in Sydney, Australia with the authors earliest experiences relevant to the development of Jewish identity. It then proceeds to trace this development from her experiences in 3 other countries while working for the United Nations in the field of population control. After retiring in Jerusalem, Israel, the author focuses on the consequences for Jewish identity of the re-establishment of a Jewish national homeland.
In conclusion, drawing on the experiences described in the book she proposes a theoretical explanation of this Jewishness which, defying all odds, has survived millennia of homelessness, centuries outside the ghetto walls, and now still persists even outside its own religion.

Living Authentically
0$24.95This book is for anyone going through a life challenge or life-threatening illness.
In my case it’s cancer.
The prognosis six years ago was: “It’s going to keep coming back”. Which it did. And despite my greatest efforts to live a cancer-free life, it continued to return. In 2019, after discussions with my oncologist, I decided to stop all treatment to give my body time to heal.
By finally realising that I have a choice in my living and dying, I began to feel empowered. My focus shifted and I allowed myself to live my life authentically, feeling what needed to be honestly felt without adding my mental stories to it and to have compassion for myself.
Choice is empowerment. Believing we are “choice-less” can be so disheartening. We have the potential to live the best lives we can given the circumstances we find ourselves in if we’re willing to be open to all that’s present in our lives.
We can reach out for help when we need it, and bless our humanity, there are so many people out there that genuinely want to help us.
Amongst the moments of grief, fear and disappointment, my life is still beautiful. Yours can be too.
“Life is here to be lived as it’s calling to be lived.
Death will take care of itself”

Mary’s Story
1$24.95Mary’s Story is a must-read for all who are genuinely concerned about patient outcomes.
This is the story of a young woman’s fight for answers to a serious health issue. Meanwhile, the medical professionals she encountered were more concerned with burying their mistakes.
Mary’s GP and later a neurologist didn’t take her concerns seriously for over two years. Both diagnosed her with migraine headaches and treated her with the wrong medication, to which she was not responding. Under these circumstances, an MRI scan should be routine.
This is a story of the medical and legal professionals not getting it right. The system is set up to protect the medicos while the patient has no rights or protections.

My Journey With Dementia was in the hope that it may help family members of a Dementia sufferer understand what is going on with their loved one. It is a very hard journey but hopefully, it will help to know many people are in the same position of confusion as you.
It was the first time for Barbara and naturally, she didn’t understand what was happening in her life.
She was told to remember that they are no longer who they really are which she understood but at the time it is extremely hard to comprehend. She was not told what to expect and she wishes had. Maybe because Dementia has a different effect with each sufferer.
